Fast Friday

Happy Friday! We have the Better Me 360 Challenge starting on MONDAY!! You can find out more about it by reading THIS post. But for now, let's talk about this week.

Last weekend we spent the day playing at the cabin. We are so thankful to still have such a beautiful place to go to!

There are so many options of sledding hills up there. We found a perfect little one for the kids and spent a few hours sledding.

It's always fun to spend time with our family. The kids love to spend time with the cousins. They always have so much fun!

After a break and some food, I decided to go back out with the girls. We went to a different hill. And while I was busy explaining that they needed to stay on the inside of the hill to avoid the barb wire fence, J took off and ran, head first, right into it. It scared me to death because I thought the way she hit that it cut her way more than it did. Luckily my brother and dad were there (a doctor and a dentist) and both agreed that she didn't need stitches. We were really relieved that it wasn't as bad as it could have been if she had been going faster.

For New Years we went to my sister's house to play games. We stay until around 10:00 and then put a countdown on for the kids so they can still party and get to bed at an ok time. We don't stay up much later than that. We are kind of party poopers when it comes to New Years.

This week has been filled with playing around the house and the kids staying in their pajamas half the day.  I'm not one to sit around and be lazy, but I had a ton of things on my to-do list to get done so I was ok with them doing that for now.

We needed to get out of the house yesterday, so I took the kids to the Beam Museum. It's a museum in our area that is all about animals. This is a picture of the kids in front of Shasta the Ligar.

This week I did some strength training and two runs. I'll start adding more mileage back on soon, but I'm still enjoying keeping it low key.

School starts Monday, and so does the challenge.  So we are soaking up every last bit of the break as we possibly can.

How did you celebrate New Years?

Do you have a special favorite place to go?

Those with school kid, how long does your Christmas break go for?
