Fast Friday

Here's a really fast Friday for you today!

Last weekend Trevon went on a little campout with his dad and brothers, so I took the kids to do some fun things.  First, the girls got back to school haircuts. They both decided to go short and not just trim it. M had enough to donate!

Then we went to dinner. They chose Pizza Pie Cafe and I was pleasantly surprised how much they actually ate.

Saturday was spent school shopping. We ended up leaving with nothing but underwear. The stores were crazy and we decided not to wait in line and order online instead.  I also thought to myself "I'd rather be running" several times during this trip.

We had game night Sunday night. J won again.

Monday started out with a run, the air was actually kind of clear then. We've been dealing with a lot of fires in and around our state and it's making the air quality terrible, especially with the mountains trapping it all in.

Then I made this amazing breakfast. It's a pizza with an egg crust. You can find the recipe HERE.

We needed to get out of the house on Tuesday, and the air was getting worse, but it's summer and we needed to have more play time outside. We are trying to squeeze every drop of summer out of this next week as we can because the kids go back to school too soon.

Wednesday was a swimming day.

Here's how my workouts went for the week:

Saturday: rest day

Sunday: Rest day

Monday: easy run ----> 5 miles easy pace

Tuesday: ---> Strength training

Wednesday: --- Tempo run ----> 3.5 miles @ 7:05 pace

Thursday: Long run ---> was supposed to be 10 but I cut it down to 8.5 because of bad air

Total miles for the week:  17

If you missed it, here are the top posts for the week:

What is your favorite board game?

Do you have a lot of fires in your area this year?

    1. Uhh, I know! Part of me is ready to only have one kid home, but I’m also so sad that play time is over

  2. My stepson are headed back next week and we're all a little sad about it because we've had such an awesome summer. I've been meaning to try the egg pizza since Monica posted it. Now that I know it turned out for you I'll definitely make it.

    1. Yes! Try it and let me know how it turns out. Mine was a little hard to flip because I figured I would use the bacon freeze instead of butter. But it tasted really good!
