Fast Friday

Happy Friday! Here are a few things we have been up to lately.

V spent some time driving around his dump truck.  He's also pretty attached to his blanket and bear. He also needs a hair cut.

Tuesday was amazing temperature wise. I spent some time while kids were at school/napping outside on my run. January is NEVER this warm outside in Utah, but something happened to Utah's winter this year and I can't complain too much because I'm not a fan of the cold. But, I do hope we have a wet spring because we will need the water this summer. Anyway, 3 miles at around 7:30-8:30 pace (I don't have a Garmin so it can be tricky outside to know my exact pace at this point unless I have an app on my phone, which I didn't this time. But it was somewhere around there.

It was so nice that as soon as I got back I had to take my long sleeved shirt off! I probably would have been ok running in a tank top instead of layers in the first place.

V got a stomach bug on Tuesday and after he woke up covered in puke (I guess he puked in his sleep :( ) He got right in the bath. He was doing better after that. Poor kiddo.

I did a little bit of breakfast meal prep, which I posted about on Instagram. I made breakfast burritos and made enough to freeze a few of them for a busier day.

I still can not find our clubhouse key and I should probably just give in and pay for another one. But I know that as soon as I do, I'll find the other one. Anyway, because I haven't been able to find it, I haven't been able to get my workout done before the kids wake up as often. So M was my little workout buddy for my strength training workouts this week.  They were quick but it was more challenging than I thought it would be.

We did a round of Chicken Fat for warm up (it's M's favorite) and then did 3 sets of this: 10 push-ups, 20 sit-ups, 5 bear crawls, 10 shoulder taps, 5 bear crawls, 7 burpees.

J had her 100th day of school this week and so part of class was making fruitloop necklaces with 100 pieces of cereal on them. When she got home from school V followed her around like this for the rest of the afternoon until it was all eaten. (Excuse the trail of stuff on the floor and the handfuls of stuff in V's hand. He can't seem to leave the room without finding something to take with him and then he randomly dumps it somewhere. (also why we can't find the clubhouse key)).

These weeks workouts ended up going like this:

Monday: quick 15-minute morning wake-up strength workout.
Tuesday: 3 miles outside
Wednesday: 5 minute warm up and 10-minute strength training with M.
Thursday: 3 miles of speed (8x1 minute sprints with 1 minute recovery)
Friday: 3ish miles of speed (5x2 minute sprints with 2 minute recovery)
